Koonjewarre

Bring your group to Koonjewarre and benefit conservation

Koonjewarre is owned and operated by ARCS as a not-for-profit business. All ‘profits’ are directed to rainforest restoration on the national park.

Accommodation facilities include 8 family units, 2 motel units, a cottage and dormitories accommodating 84 persons.

The venue is suitable for a wide range of groups and activities:

  • Primary and Secondary Schools, and Universities
  • Music, Art and Performance Workshops
  • Yoga and Sporting groups
  • Business and Voluntary organisations for training and team building
  • SES and Emergency Services groups
  • Wedding and Party functions including overnight stays
  • Contemplative Retreats and Spiritual Fellowships
  • Natural History groups for exploring Springbrook’s iconic World Heritage wonders

The Dining room. Catering is provided by David Porter, who’s experience extends from location catering in the film industry through to large scale corporate catering, banqueting and conventions. David was also Chef Manager at London’s prestigious Dorchester Hotel. Looking across Konjewarre’s lake and the sorts field with the buildings in the background. Raft building is one of the many activities carried out at Koonjewarre. The SES use Koonjewarre for training sessions.
The sports oval with the main building in the background. The High/Low ropes course is conducted under the safety and instruction of Sports Tuition’s qualified staff. A range of activities are available for school groups. The 16-hole Mini Golf Course
